Sepang International Circuit

From Malaysian Innovation to the International Stage 🏁🇲🇾
A homegrown technology success story in action!
Meet Billion Prima, a homegrown technology company bringing its security screening solutions to the international sporting arena. Its Dual-View Baggage Scanners and Body Scanners were deployed at the admission gates of Sepang International Circuit (SIC) for the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia 2026, held from 2–4 October.
And this is no one-race wonder. Beyond the circuit, Billion Prima’s scanners are already in use at the PETRONAS office tower at KLCC, with further deployments lined up at major venues and events, including MotoGP at Sepang.
From screening bags to scanning bodies, this homegrown technology is proving that Malaysian innovation can go the distance — and earn its place on the world stage.
Billion Prima’s journey has also benefited from facilitation MOSTI, through MRANTI and MTDC, under the NTIS and the MySTI programme, helping advance homegrown innovation towards commercial application.
Congratulations to the Billion Prima team! Who says Malaysian technology can’t keep pace with the best? At Sepang, it’s already in the fast lane. Here’s to more milestones ahead!
