Mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Pemandu NTIS Bil. 1/2025 was held last week, chaired by YB Tuan Chang Lih Kang, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, and Tan Sri Shamsul Azri bin Abu Bakar, Chief Secretary to the Government (KSN).
The meeting brought together 18 key ministries, to align on national innovation priorities under the NTIS framework.
During the session, MRANTI representatives Mohd Safuan Mohd Zairi, Chief Ecosystem Officer and Dr. Afnizanfaizal Abdullah, Head of Innovation Commercialisation presented three proposals: a top-down approach to regulatory facilitation, support for technology transfer within the public sector, and the adoption of local innovations through NTIS and MyHackathon. All proposals received strong support, with actions identified for implementation.
Now in its fifth year, NTIS continues to serve as a flagship platform under MOSTI, driving national efforts in technology adoption and commercialisation.
