National Technology and Innovation Sandbox (NTIS) at the 88th ASEAN Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation (COSTI) meeting in Bangkok, Thailand marked a milestone for Malaysia’s continued commitment to shaping a borderless innovation landscape.

NTIS presented the concept paper “Accelerating Technology Commercialisation in ASEAN through the ASEAN Sandbox Initiative”. A proposal to connect innovation ecosystems, harmonise regulatory frameworks, and unlock new pathways for collaboration across the region.

Endorsed by MOSTI and refined through the Sub-Committee on Infrastructure and Research Development (SCIRD), the initiative reflects a collective aspiration to create a future where ideas, talent, and technology flow seamlessly across ASEAN.

NTIS remains committed to driving innovation without borders accelerating technology commercialisation, and empowering ASEAN’s collective strength in science, technology, and innovation.
