The NTIS team engaged with eMooVit Technology Sdn. Bhd. to review their commercialisation progress and market traction across multiple autonomous vehicle (AV) initiatives under NTIS.
eMooVit has developed several AV solutions through NTIS, beginning with MooXora under the Regulatory Sandbox, which laid the foundation for autonomous driving modules using real-world data collection.
Their AV capabilities were further applied in two funded Sandbox projects which an Autonomous Delivery Robot for Healthcare Logistics at Hospital Tunku Azizah, Kuala Lumpur, and the Pilot Operations of Autonomous Shuttle (MaaS) under Sandbox 2. Notably, eMooVit became the first company in Malaysia to conduct AV testing on public roads during the 5G launch in Putrajaya.
In terms of market traction, MooXora-based AV modules are now deployed in autonomous agriculture vehicles, generating revenue. eMooVit is also participating in a tender with Perbadanan Putrajaya for Autonomous Electric Vehicle (AEV) buses, which have received approvals from the Ministry of Transport (MOT) and local authorities for public-road operations.
